The Yacht In charter team visited two prestigious charter shows that were the place to be for the yachting community this spring – MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona, Spain, and Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) in Nafplion, Greece. 

Both yacht charter shows are B2B yachting events that display the crème de la crème of luxury yachts available for charter and bring together top professionals of the industry. Since we keep up with the latest trends and opportunities, it is always a great chance to take a closer look at the display of yachts available for charter, attend seminars, meet yacht crews and yacht brokerage companies, and explore novelties in the world of yacht charter.

The 32nd MYBA Charter Show Barcelona

The 32nd MYBA charter show was conducted at the luxurious and exclusive Marina Port Vell in Barcelona from 25th to 28th of April after a two-year absence, marking the beginning of the Mediterranean yacht charter season. It is one of the most important events of this kind dedicated to the large crewed yacht market. Even though the show was a bit quieter this year, with only 20 charter yachts on display but of the highest quality, as usual, the wide range of luxury yachts from 22.7m to 82.5m long were at our disposal. We had the honor to view superyachts and megayachts in detail and learn more about their interior, features, amenities, stability and comfort, cruising speed, and all their benefits. Organized by MYBA, the show truly maintains high standards across the superyacht industry with highlights on innovation and environmentalism.

MEDYS 2022 Nafplion

The most prominent charter show of the 2022 – MEDYS Nafplion

The 7th MEDYS 2022 was held from the 30th of April to the 4th of May in a lovely setting of the Nafplion waterfront showing that it’s getting bigger and bigger every year. This impressive show encompassed a wide range of motor yachts, sailing yachts and motor sailers proving that it is one of the most significant industry-only events where yachting professionals from around the globe can have interaction and exchange information. The list of attending yachts was long – it included 90 yachts!

Yacht charter shows are always a great opportunity for our charter specialists to make a site inspection of the ships available for private yacht charters and have a conversation with the crew in order to have first-hand information for our clients.
