There’s something about early October on the Adriatic: the warmth lingers, the crowds fade, and the sea becomes a mirror. It’s the perfect moment to slow down, to experience Croatia not just as a destination, but as a feeling. And that’s exactly what this year’s FAM trip aboard M/Y CARMEN was all about. For three days, our guests, a select group of brokers and partners, joined us on a voyage through the very essence of the Adriatic. From Split’s ancient harbor to the quiet bays of Kornati and the timeless rhythm of Zadar’s waves, it was a journey designed to capture what a CARMEN charter truly feels like: elegant, effortless, and deeply personal.
Day 1: Split — Setting Sail
The trip began in Split, where guests were welcomed aboard with a champagne reception and introduced to the crew. After settling in and enjoying a light lunch on deck, the afternoon was left free to explore the charm of Split’s old town. As the sun set, an intimate evening with local Sommelier brought everyone together. His guided tasting introduced the diverse Dalmatian wine regions, a perfect pairing of culture and flavor to start the voyage.

Day 2: Skradin & Šibenik — Nature, Flavor, and Heritage
The morning began with a leisurely breakfast before guests set out to explore Krka National Park, while the yacht continued towards Šibenik for the next part of the journey. Accompanied by a local guide, guests enjoyed a private tour of Krka National Park, surrounded by lush greenery and cascading waterfalls. Lunch was followed at the renowned Cantinetta Restaurant, where everyone savored the legendary Skradin risotto, a dish slow-cooked for hours and steeped in local tradition.
The afternoon in Šibenik was relaxed and spontaneous, allowing guests to explore its stone streets, hidden courtyards, and waterfront promenade before returning onboard for dinner prepared by CARMEN’s chef.

Day 3: Kornati – Telašćica – Zadar — Cruising Through Wonders
At sunrise, CARMEN set course through the Kornati archipelago, a maze of 89 islands and islets known for their raw beauty. The tranquil cruise offered time to unwind on deck and take in the dramatic seascapes. Anchored in Telašćica Nature Park, the group enjoyed a lovely hour with a guide exploring the center and climbing to the Grpašćak viewpoint — the highest point of Telašćica Nature Park — offering breathtaking views over the cliffs and the park’s three beautiful bays. Lunch was served at anchor before continuing to Marina Dalmacija in Sukošan, CARMEN’s home port. That evening, the group explored Zadar’s Old Town, visiting the Roman Forum, Sea Organ, and Greeting to the Sun, before concluding the journey with a farewell dinner at the elegant FOŠA Restaurant.

More Than a Journey
The CARMEN FAM trip was not simply an itinerary; it was an immersion into the Adriatic way of life. A rhythm of mornings at sea, afternoons of discovery, and evenings spent in good company. For those onboard, it was a chance to experience what our guests feel on every charter: the quiet luxury of space, the attention to detail in every gesture, and the sense that time, for a few days, belongs entirely to you.
